How this OS works

One place for the whole studio: what comes in, what you bid, what you shoot, what you bill. Everything you add syncs to every device your team signs in on.

Home
Today at a glance — open deals, tasks due, who is waiting on you. Start here every morning.
Pipeline
Every deal from first call to delivered. Move it along the board; a won deal becomes a Production with its own prep documents. Sent & silent shows who has not answered a form, a pickup or a portal link.
Bids
Paste a client brief, get a branded proposal in minutes, with a passcode-gated budget, a .pptx in your template and a shareable link. Saved versions live here, on every device.
Outreach
Templates and contacts for reaching clients and partners, plus Messages, the team chat with channels, files and mentions.
Roster
Your data home. Database = crew, partners, contacts, day-rates. Locations = venues with photos and scout notes. Inventory = wardrobe and props with looks.
Money
Invoices from Sent to Paid, what is outstanding, and the markup you actually keep. Only roles with money access see it.
Do
Activities = tasks, shoots and calls, assignable to a person and tied to a deal. To-Do for the quick list. Mission for the plan you are steering by.
Studio
Pulse (your feeds and Instagram), Thoughts (capture a photo or a voice note on the go), Library (documents and guides), Reports, Markets (rates and rebates) and Prep (breakdown, board, forms, pickups, portal, recce, contact report, call sheet).

Three steps to make it yours

1
Feed it your documents
Rate cards, past bids, crew lists, location packs — drop them in Settings → Feed the OS with ✨ Auto-detect. They become real cards in your tabs and fuel for the bid writer.
2
Check your data home
Roster, partners, contacts, day-rates. Everything you feed lands here, editable. Fix a name once and it is fixed everywhere.
3
Generate your first bid
Paste a client brief and read the proposal it writes from your own crew, venues and rates. Save a version; it is on your phone too.

Good to know

The command bar at the bottom answers from your data and can drive the OS for you (“lead me to locations”). The bell shows what your team did since you last looked. Roles decide who sees money and who can edit; a line producer sees the shoot, not the margin. Your data stays yours: ask us and we send you the full archive of everything you added and created, any time.

Reopen this guide any time from Settings → “How this OS works”.

The Database

The producers, partners, and 1,746 MENA outreach contacts behind the bridge.

Your production network, in one place.

This is your studio's database — the crew, partners, clients and contacts you work with. Everything here is private to your studio. Add people and companies as you go, or feed a document to import a batch, and they'll show up across the Roster, Partners and Bid Generator.

Build the network. The bids get easier.Awesome Link OS

The rate book

What your partners charge · drop a line straight into a bid

Everyone you deal with, in one place — the contacts you add by hand or from documents, and the studio's wider production network. One search, cards or a list, and any network row can be adopted into your own contacts with one tap.

Reading the matrix

Rows are markets from the @awesomelinkfilms bio + home. Columns are Blueprint target roles (6–7 directors + 6–7 DOPs + 2 ADs + stylists per market). Green cells = at or above target. Brass = partial. Grey = empty — next conversations with your partners, or new outreach.

Everything from one client in one place — and confirm what's real. The AI suggests connections; only you confirm.

Signal

Everything you sent out to a person, and whether they did anything about it. Sorted by who has been silent longest — not by when you sent it.

Activities

The team's day-to-day — tasks to do, shoot days on the calendar, and client calls. Every entry shows who added & last touched it.

Messages

Your studio's team chat — channels for the crew & production management, and direct messages. Files and project links welcome.

Markets

The markets your studio works in or wants to win — map them here so your bids and outreach stay focused.

Your markets

Waiting on partner — markets with zero contributed locations

Each card is a market where you have no partner contributing locations yet. Tap "Ask a partner" to draft the intro request, or "Outbound" to find a local production house.

Locations · Network-grown database

Your studio's location library. Scout photos and venue notes live here — add them by hand or feed a location pack, and every venue becomes searchable and ready to drop straight into a bid.

📤 Upload location packs — one or more PDFs or photos. Each doc auto-adds its own location card: photos are cropped out (no white edges) as the pics, and the name / country are read from the doc — Arabic names kept + translated.

Inventory · Wardrobe & reusable assets

Bid Generator

Brief → a structured, 8-section proposal. Fill the form, hit generate, share or open in a new tab.

Brief input

Prefilled from Settings › Studio profile. Change it here to point THIS proposal at a different inbox — the producer running the job, say.
Drop a document or click to browse PDF · image · Office / iWork · text — a past bid, an agency brief, a deck. Up to 120 MB; we read it and curate the details.
Drop the production budget PDF · Excel · Numbers · CSV · photo — up to 120 MB. We read every line item, run the math, and ground the bid in it.
Export deck
Export template
Using the built-in template.
Design your own .pptx in PowerPoint/Keynote, type a placeholder wherever a bid value belongs — {{client}}, {{agency}}, {{title}}, {{brief}}, {{en}}, {{ar}}, {{worlds}}, {{deliv}}, {{days}}, {{budget}}, {{markup}}, {{valid}} — then upload it here. Every future "Export .pptx" fills those tokens in with the real bid values, keeping your own design. (Type each token in one go — an autocorrect interruption mid-word can split it and stop it from matching.)

Preview

Fill in the brief on the left, then hit Generate proposal to preview the scaffold here — all 8 sections (Direction · Casting · Brief · Approach · Deliverables · Plan · Investment · Terms) with a passcode-gated budget. Then hit ✏️ Edit in preview to type straight onto the page — every headline, paragraph and card, click a photo to swap it, ↑ ↓ ✕ to reorder or drop a section — and ⬇ Download the HTML, or 🚀 Go live to publish exactly what you see and get a shareable link.

Outreach

Compose to Outlook or WhatsApp from prewritten templates. The page hands off — no SMTP, no API tokens.

Templates

↻ Follow-up sequence

Drops dated reminders (against the recipient above) into Activities → Tasks + the notification centre — so no warm lead goes cold.

Tip: variables in [brackets] (e.g. [name], [country]) are placeholders — edit before sending.

Library · All assets

Every deck, brief, agreement, moodboard, delivered film, and reference reel — surfaced and clickable.

Thoughts

On-the-go capture — snap a photo (auto-scanned to text & straightened), record a voice note (auto-transcribed), or jot a quick thought. Saved & synced to every device.

Reports

Your studio at a glance — money, pipeline, the week ahead, and where in the world your locations are. Print it or save a PDF for a partner or a board.

Prep · Breakdown

Your house-style breakdown — drop a treatment / PPM / shot-list and it fills the scenes for you. Edit every cell, reorder scenes, add STB & location stills, then export a print-ready PDF.

✨ Read a source → fill the scenes treatment · PPM · shot-list · brief — PDF / image / Office / iWork / text

The AI reads it into scenes — English shot descriptions, art-direction & notes kept in the document's own language (Arabic stays Arabic). It adds to a blank breakdown; edit anything after.

Ask how anything works, or report a bug — the assistant knows the whole OS and files it to the studio for you. Answers are guidance; it never changes your data or settings.

Usage measurement — what this OS records about how it is used
It counts which doors and buttons are used and when something fails — ids and counts only, never the text you type or the files you add. Used to improve the OS and to size your allowance.
Studio profile — stamped on the proposals you export from the Bid Generator
no logo
Transparent PNG works best. It will be stamped on every document the OS produces — bids, call sheets, breakdowns, forms, invoices — once the placements are approved.

Language — the OS interface language
⚠️ العربية is unfinished — about half the interface is translated, the greeting stays English, and punctuation sits on the wrong side because the right-to-left layout pass was never done. Fine for a look; not ready to show a client.
